Angola’s public networks run at 50 Hz. The national regulations name 15 kV and 30 kV as the preferred medium-voltage levels for new connections, and 220 V / 380 V on low voltage. The operator’s own transformer specification and the import conformity document still need to be checked with your buyer or customs broker before you order.

Under the same Decree 27/01 (art. 6), low-voltage installations above 9.9 kVA are supplied three-phase, and medium-voltage connections are always three-phase.
IRSEA Instrutivo 1/19 (April 2019) approved a process for connecting new private transformer posts (postos de transformação privativos) on medium voltage: five steps, and 90 days from the date the supply request is submitted, under normal network conditions. ENDE-EP took part in the working group behind it.
The Angolan Institute for Standardisation and Quality (IANORQ) and the accreditation institute (IAAC) were merged into the National Institute of Quality Infrastructure (INIQ) by Presidential Decree 95/21 of 20 April 2021. Its statute lets INIQ verify the conformity of regulated products, whether made in Angola or imported.
Which conformity document an imported distribution transformer needs is set by the list of regulated products in force. Ask your customs broker or INIQ before shipment and put the answer in the order, so that any test report or certificate is planned into the delivery time.
