Chilean distribution networks run at 50 Hz, with medium voltage up to 23 kV. The medium-voltage level, the transformer type and the approved list differ by network operator, so check the operator’s own specification before asking for a quotation.

Enel’s approved-equipment list (February 2026) is the most concrete public picture of what a large Chilean operator buys. Check your own project’s operator: a different operator can use different voltages.

Single-phase overhead units of 15 kVA (12 kV and 23 kV) are also listed. The list names each approved manufacturer and model: a transformer that is not on the operator’s list cannot be assumed to be accepted for its network.
Electrical products that Chile places under mandatory certification must carry a certificate from a certification body authorised by the SEC (Superintendencia de Electricidad y Combustibles). The products covered are set by the Ministry of Energy by resolution, and SEC publishes them in its product search system. Foreign certificates can be recognised through the procedure in SEC Resolución Exenta N° 21271.
